The Benefitâs of a four wheel walkerâs, and Rollators
Wednesday, August 31st, 2011When a doctor prescribes a rollator also known as a four wheel walker they have to order a walker with a seat, as insurance company’s only pay for a wheeled walker, and the seat is billed separately in order to cover the cost of the equipment. This will allow you to purchase one for little or no cost. Your doctor should be able to recommend or prescribe the appropriate type or style that will work best for you. If you are buying a rollator on your own, it is important to consider stability, height and weight. For stability I would make sure your rollators have brakes, height is to insure it fits you properly, and the weight is to be kept in consideration for transport, loading and out of your vehicle. You can get exercise by using your rollator to do anything. Using it as a walker, you are able to get exercise doing daily tasks around the home that you might not be able to do without the device. In addition to exercise is that when you get exhausted the seat allows you to sit and rest. You can also use it outside as part of a walking program or to assist you walking in the community. The devices come in so many styles and sizes you will be able to find one to suit whatever task you need it for.
